B. Elliott Johnston, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Johnston received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and completed dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993. Being licensed to practice dentistry that same year, he has provided personalized, comprehensive dental care to patients since graduation. In that time he has completed several hundred hours of advanced continuing education which has earned him the accomplishment of being a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry. Less than 2% of dentists within the United States are actually awarded this honor. Dr. Johnston is also a member of the American Dental Association and the American Orthodontic Society. Dr. Johnston has studied at The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study (www.thedawsonacademy.com) and The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education (www.pankey.org) . His ongoing education, combined with valuable experience, has served him well in the treatment of his patients. His practice combines his philosophy of optimal, personalized patient care with the benefits that come from a preventative and proactive approach to managing one’s health. His intent has always been to help his patients receive the best care available in dentistry today with the goal of having a great, healthy smile for a lifetime.
Dr. Johnston has been married to his wife, Jenny, since 1995 and they are the proud parents of five children. They are active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Dr. Johnston has also been on several mission trips to improve dental health in foreign countries such as Venezuela and Guyana. Dr. Johnston is an active member of his community as well and enjoys planning and hosting the Father/Daughter dance in Eufaula.

Tiffany Kilpatrick – Dental Assistant
Tiffany is a Dental Assistant at Smiles by Design. She has been a member of Dr. Johnston’s team since September 2015. She has years of experience as an administrative assistant. Tiffany enjoys making each patients experience in the office comfortable and enjoyable.
She is from a family of five and was raised in Louisville, AL. She and her husband Tim were married in September 2012. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Theresa Collier – Hygienist
Theresa is a registered dental hygienist at Smiles by Design. She received her hygiene license from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1993. She has also trained at the Eggleston Implant Institute. Theresa joined Dr. Johnston’s team in 1997. She says it is a joy to serve in a practice that offers the most up-to-date dentistry and strives to ensure patients have a great experience.
Theresa has lived in Eufaula all her life. She has been married to David since 1985. They have a daughter, Kristin and a son, William. She attends Covenant Presbyterian Church. Theresa enjoys reading, gardening, Alabama football, and spending time with family and friends.
